Operation Save the Curls: Mission Complete!

Hey babes!💖

I’m honestly blown away — my Operation: Save the Curls GoFundMe reached (and even passed!) its goal in less than 24 hours after sharing it publicly!✨ I can’t tell you how much that means to me.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, or sent kind words. Family, friends I’ve known since kindergarten, high school classmates and mentors, college friends from design school, family friends I grew up with, old coworkers — all of you showed up for me in such a huge way! You’re the reason I get to move forward with scalp cooling and hopefully keep my curls through chemo!

The chemo drugs I’ll be on are Cisplatin and Gemcitabine. With my treatment plan, it’s expected that I could keep about 50% or more of my hair. Of course, nothing is guaranteed, but I’m starting this process with a thick head of curls — so hopefully they’ll hang in there!🤞🏽

Like I mentioned in my last post, I’ll share more soon about how my mediport placement went and how my chemo class goes on Tuesday!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’ve felt so loved and supported through all of this, and I’m beyond grateful for your generosity. I’ll keep you posted as the curls’ survival story continues! 💕

Xoxo,

Kyra💋✨
